“this course is for farmers, ranchers, land managers, advisors and anyone responsible for managing living systems “
Land degradation rarely begins with bad intentions. It begins with fragmented decisions.
A pasture is improved. A herd is expanded. A predator is removed. A loan is taken. Each step makes sense on its own. Yet over time, biodiversity declines, soils thin, margins shrink, and stress rises.
Holistic Management was developed to address this exact pattern.
The Comprehensive Course is an intensive training in decision-making for complexity. Instead of prescribing practices, it equips participants with a framework to manage land, livestock, money, and people as interconnected systems.
You will learn to:
This course is designed for farmers, ranchers, land managers, advisors, and anyone responsible for managing living systems under uncertainty.
Add-On: Grazing and Predators
Where grazing animals move, predators shape behavior. Where predators disappear, ecosystems change.
This advanced module explores predator–prey dynamics as a functional ecological force, not as ideology. Participants examine how herd behavior, animal impact, recovery periods, and biodiversity are influenced by risk, pressure, and movement.
We cover:
Drawing from field experience in North America, Europe and Africa, this module challenges simplified narratives and focuses on practical design.

A Zimbabwean ecologist and wildlife guide, Brent spent years in the Hwange ecosystem researching and monitoring large carnivores, developing a deep understanding of how predators shape herbivore behavior, vegetation patterns, and landscape function.
Beyond field research, he dedicated over a decade to working directly with rural communities, helping people learn how to live alongside predators. His work focused not only on conservation, but on coexistence — building practical strategies that reduce conflict while maintaining ecological function. This long-term engagement with communities adds a crucial social dimension to his ecological expertise.
Brent is currently the Managing Director of the Africa Centre for Holistic Management and an Accredited Professional in Holistic Management. His leadership bridges wildlife ecology, community resilience, and regenerative land management, bringing real-world experience from predator-rich landscapes into practical decision-making frameworks

Zoltan is the founder of Táncoskert, a certified organic and regenerative demonstration farm where livestock are managed through holistic planned grazing to restore biodiversity, rebuild soil function, and regenerate rural economies.
Zoltán has worked with ranchers and practitioners in Europe, the United States and spends significant time in Africa, contributing to training, field implementation, and cross-continental knowledge exchange. His work focuses on translating the Holistic Management framework into practical, decision-making tools that help land managers create ecologically sound, economically viable, and socially grounded operations.
