• Africa Center for Holistic Management

We enhance human livelihoods through training that enables communities to manage their land and lives holistically and to use livestock as a tool for regenerating degraded watersheds, croplands and wildlife (and human) habitat.

Hello and welcome

ACHM is a Zimbabwean-registered social welfare organisation affiliated with the USA-based Savory Institute. We host community leaders  and NGO staff each year for training in “Holistic Land and Livestock Management.” The program uses the curriculum we jointly developed with Savory Institute to address the specific needs and context of subsistence farmers living and grazing on communal lands.

We also provide Holistic Management training to commercial land managers wanting to regenerate their farming, ranching and game management operations throughout the region.

Ultimately, the only wealth that can sustain any community, economy or nation is derived from the photosynthetic process – green plants growing on regenerating soil.

We are a Regional Hub & International Campus of the Savory Institute

We are part of a global network of entrepreneurial leaders committed to serving our regions with Holistic Management training and implementation support.

All Hubs are accredited by the Savory Institute following a rigorous application and training process that enables us to in turn facilitate the training of trainers who are eligible for accreditation as educators and field professionals, and whom we hire or contract to help implement our programs and services.

As a Savory International Campus we also host training programs for Savory Hub leaders, professional network members, and policymakers.
